Demonising, hypnotising, mesmerising; BBC Radio One’s ‘King of Cabaret’ Desmond O’Connor is an award winning writer, producer and performer with whose bittersweet lyrics and insanely catchy melodies never fail to shock, charm and entertain.  His work has appeared on television, radio and film and he has performed live as far afield as Dublin, Berlin, Amsterdam and New York. Desmond’s material addresses everyday worries and woes in a quirky, unexpected and eloquent manner; he has been likened in the press to a modern day Noel Coward on more than one occasion. His work as composer, lyricist and co-creator of Scott Mills The Musical for Radio 1 and programmer for Radio One’s Filth and Fun Cabaret Show, combined with his work as a presenter for MTV at Bestival and The Big Chill, has furthered his status as one of the biggest names on the UK music and cabaret circuit.
