Steve is a well known actor and comedian having starred in nearly 30 ‘GoldSpot’ commercials for Orange which played in every movie theatre in the UK for 6 years. He was a regular supporting actor in the multi-award winning ‘Little Britain’ sketch show. As his alter-ego Lenny Beige, he wrote and starred in The Lenny Beige Television Show on (Ch4) and 2 series of The LennyBeige Variety Pack for BBC.

He has appeared in close to 100 TV and film roles including ; Dreaming. Whilst Black (BBC), Bodies (BBC), Armstrong & Miller (C4), Toast (C4),

Catterick (BBC), The Bill (ITV), Born and Bred (BBC), Wuthering Heights

(ITV), Manhunt (ITV), Friday Night Dinner (C4), 3 series of the BAFTA

nominated Legend of Dick and Dom. He was a semi-regular in the long

running medical drama Holby City (BBC1) is a series regular in the

international series, The Serpent Queen (series 1 & 2) for Starz and Amazon.

His movie credits include St Trinians 1 & 2, Chalet Girl and in 2017 he starred

in Walk Like A Panther for 20th Century Fox. For

On stage credits include; Matilda (Royal Shakespeare Company) as Mr

Wormwood for over 600 performances at the Cambridge Theatre, original

cast of Made in Dagenham at the Adelphi Theatre and as the title role in Mr

Gum and the Dancing Bear at the National Theatre in 2019. In 2023 he

received rave reviews as Fagin for the 5 star production of Oliver at The

Leeds Playhouse.

In addition to performance, Steve has written a book on the history of Radio

Comedy and continues to write and produce music and has continues to

collaborate with writer/producer Guy Chambers on a variety of songwriting

projects.

As a character comedian he continues to perform as Lenny Beige and his

tribute to Neil Diamond with his world class band has proved to be a surefire

hit - it can be either 60 or 100 minutes in length. But Lenny is the

consummate host having been at the top of his game for 30 years, whether it

is presenting his own stable of acts, hosting a party, compering an awards

ceremony or a weird quiz or karaoke night.

As The Mayor of Kentish Town - London’s most straight-talking urban Mayor he has appeared on Comedy Central and hosts comedy night. As a

compere he is hard hitting and fast talking.

For the past decade he has also performed Steve Furst - In Character, a

multi-character theatre show. This 90 minute performance showcases 7 very

different, finely observed characters in a unique show that has received great

reviews. This show works as a stand alone entity.
